Frequently Asked Questions

You will find answers about our EV charger installation services. Please feel free to contact us if you don't get your question's answered below.

All of the domestic home chargers we install are around 7kw per hour. So, for example, a fully electric car around 70kw, will take around 9-10 hours to charge from 0-100%. A 20kw plug in hybrid car will take between 2-3 hours to charge.

For chargers for business and commercial installations the 7kw chargers can be fitted at these locations, or 20kw chargers may also be able to be fitted (TP+N 400v) which are around three times as fast as the 7kw chargers.

Yes, most manufacturers come with a 2 or 3 year warranty, but some manufacturers also offer (at an additional cost) longer warranties up to 5 years

The cost of an installation will depend upon an initial survey being carried out at your property or business premises. Because of the varied types of installation a quotation is dependent on a number of things such as the type of EV charger, length of cable run from your fuse board to EV charger position, and which type of fuse board you have.

Prices start from £995.00 including smart EV charger, type A 32a RCBO, and up to 3 meters of cable (fuse board would have to meet current BS7671 18th edition regulations including SPD and spare way on fuse board).

At the moment there are currently more than 42’000 charge point connections across the UK in over 15’500 locations. You can access many online maps to locate your nearest charge points or to help you plan your journeys. Please see link below:

Yes, most of the time we will need access to your property, but where there are instances where you have an external meter or cut out box located on your external wall a install can be achieved and completed without needed access inside your property.

For all usual installs on most properties, after our initial survey has been carried out and works confirmed with the customer most installs are straight forward. We will start by mounting the charger in desired location and running cable from the charger back to the fuse board and origin of supply. Once that has been completed we would complete the connections to power up the unit, i.e. connecting to your current fuse board or fitting a sub EV board.

Yes, most of the time we will just need to drill one hole from the fuse board location to the external wall. If it is a terraced house, we normally drill a hole in the front wall.

Normally installations can take between 2-4 hours depending on the type of installation for domestic home chargers.

Yes. This can be done for an additional cost, and if the charger you have suits your new property. Prices start from £499.00 for properties located within 20 miles of original property. This price includes removal of charger from old property, and installation of no more than 3 meters in the new property. As previously mentioned, fuse board in new property would have to meet current BS7671 18th edition regulations including SPD and spare way.

This depends on manufacturers warranties or miss use or broken parts. Call out charge will be £95.00.
