Frequently Asked Questions
All of the domestic home chargers we install are around 7kw per hour. So, for example, a fully electric car around 70kw, will take around 9-10 hours to charge from 0-100%. A 20kw plug in hybrid car will take between 2-3 hours to charge.
For chargers for business and commercial installations the 7kw chargers can be fitted at these locations, or 20kw chargers may also be able to be fitted (TP+N 400v) which are around three times as fast as the 7kw chargers.
Yes, most manufacturers come with a 2 or 3 year warranty, but some manufacturers also offer (at an additional cost) longer warranties up to 5 years
Yes, most of the time we will need access to your property, but where there are instances where you have an external meter or cut out box located on your external wall a install can be achieved and completed without needed access inside your property.
For all usual installs on most properties, after our initial survey has been carried out and works confirmed with the customer most installs are straight forward. We will start by mounting the charger in desired location and running cable from the charger back to the fuse board and origin of supply. Once that has been completed we would complete the connections to power up the unit, i.e. connecting to your current fuse board or fitting a sub EV board.
